bakedin – mug brownies: review
Winter is a cold time, a time where it can be nice to have something you can easily and quickly make yourself up, to add a smile to your face and a little bit of warmth to your body and bakedin’s range of mug brownies do just that.
I’ve seen various recipes for mug brownies and cakes around the internet, but I have never got around to trying them myself as energy levels when I want such a treat are often nill, so when I was offer this range of ready to make mug brownies to try from bakedin I knew it was something I couldn’t turn down.
bakedin offer 4 different flavours of mug brownies; chocolate, chocolate orange, espresso and a gluten free, no milk chocolate version.
Baking the mug brownie is simple:
Melt 15g of butter in your mug add to it the brownie mixture and 30ml of water, mix together and baked in the microwave for 1 minute – the last part is most definitely the hardest you then need to leave it alone for 5 minutes.
Once the long wait is up (believe me it feels like a life time) it’s time to attack the chocolate delight and believe me they are all delicious (especially the chocolate orange – that one is mine all mine!).
Once baked you are left with the most delicious, moist brownie, which still has some warmth to it, so all you need to do is grab a spoon and dig in and let the melt in the mouth, chocolaty goodness, take you off to a good place.
I made these up for my family and everyone agreed they are delicious and so simple to make, the only downside to me is the price with each box costing £4.95 as I don’t think I’d be allowed to add a couple of boxes to my shopping each week, but they will definitely become a ‘treat’ buy.
If you want to give the bakedin mug brownies a try they are available at supermarkets and via their website.
What do you think of the sound of the bakedin mug brownies?

These are the coolest. This will be the only way I can get my son to make brownies!

I have always wanted to try brownies in a mug but I am fearful that I would over cook it. Your brownies turned out great. I love the photos
I love mug brownies, not only are they so yummy but they are also very easy to make!
I like the idea of single serving brownies in a mug. That way I don’t over indulge on a whole pan!
Desserts are better in a mug. I used to make mug brownies all the time when I was on weight watchers.
I like this! It also is great to be able to just have one and not be tempted to eat several. I am going to look for these in my market and try them out.
These sound like a perfect treat! I love that they’re individually sized.
I love baked goods in a mug. These are becoming more and more popular. People like mug and jar food these days.
Oh delicious. I have seen this done before and am always loving it. Love the box.

I love mug cakes and brownies. I had no idea they made kits now!
I keep hearing about brownies/cakes in mugs. I haven’t tried it myself, but I’m SUPER intrigued!
I think that is a cool idea. The only issue is that one brownie isn’t enough, so I would need about 6 🙂
Mmm! I do think it the mix is pricey though – there are lots of sponge recipes for microwaves on the net at a fraction of the cost … I make a mean bread & butter pud with golden syrup!
These look so yummy x
