Air Fryer Ready Meals The New Go-To For Dinner?
PR Sample – I also received a selection of air fryer ready meals to try.
Air fryers have been taking the UK by storm, with them quickly becoming a must for most kitchens. Offering a way to quickly cook a meal and sometimes bring down the cost of electricity, it is easy to see why as well.
Now something new has hit the air fryer scene, the air fryer ready meal.
MJ’s Diner

Hitting the shelves with a range of 14 frozen ready meals, MJ’s Diner hails from Birkenhead and is the brainchild of Noel Daves, who has 30 years of experience in the food manufacturing and distribution business.
Over dinner with his three children where they were talking about how often they used their air fryers and how good they were. He realised there was a space in the market for air fryer ready meals and he had all he needed at his disposal to develop and distribute the products.
New to the market MJ’s Diner is already being stocked in Farm Foods, Noel’s own Oops Food Clearance in St Helens, and over 300 independent retailers nationwide, while they are soon to hit the shelves of Poundland and talks are underway with nationwide supermarkets as well!
The instant success of these meals has meant that Noel has been able to recruit 50 more people to work at his Birkenhead facility just to help cope with demand.
MJ’s Diner Meals

The range contains 14 “fakeaway” frozen dishes, each with everything you need to make your favourite meal. However, a note that may well be important for some is the gravy and salt and pepper seasoning comes in its own sachet, allowing you to add it before you cook.
Each of the ready meals cooks in less than 20 minutes, and while they are developed for the air fryer they can be cooked in a conventional oven as well. While each of the meals comes in at under 915 calories (the lowest 531kcals) and costs between £1.99 to £2.49.
Right now the meals on offer are:
- Chicken Nuggets and Fries (Made with 100% Breast)
- Fish Fillet and Straight Cut Chips
- Mixed Starter: 2 Potato Skins, 6 Garlic Mushrooms & 4 Hot & Spicy wings

It is perhaps important to note these meals aren’t designed to be healthy meals for the family. Instead, they are made to be healthier than a takeaway and designed to be a good option for people who are time-poor and want something that won’t blow their calorie count. Yet they don’t compromise on taste or quality making a cheap option for an evening meal or breakfast.
