Groove Adjustable Pillow Review: Is It Worth It for Better Sleep?
AD
Finding a pillow that actually works for you can feel like a never-ending mission, you know how it goes, the first ones are too flat, the next are too firm and then don’t even get me started on those that are too hot!
So when I came across the Groove Pillow, I was intrigued. After all, it promises better support, improved sleep, and fewer mornings waking up feeling stiff.
But does it live up to the hype? Here’s my honest review of the Groove Adjustable Pillow.
What Is the Groove Adjustable Pillow?

The Groove Adjustable Pillow is an ergonomic memory foam pillow designed to support your neck and spine while you sleep, helping combat back pain, neck pain, and just helping towards offering you an overall better night’s sleep.
Unlike traditional pillows, it features a contoured shape that helps keep your head and neck aligned as you sleep, something which can make a big difference for those who find themselves waking up with aches and pains.
What’s more, this version of the Groove Pillow is adjustable across 4 different panels, offering you the ability to adjust both the height and depth, making it suitable for petite and large frames and for back and side sleeping.
First Impressions

You can tell from first look that this isn’t your average pillow.
The shape is very different from others, and I’ll be honest, I was a little worried about how it would feel to lie on. However, once you realise just how it is meant to support your spine, it all starts to make sense.
I will be honest: the memory foam feels firm, which is quite surprising at first; however, the support it offers makes it very comfortable, and, importantly, it holds its shape well overnight.
It’s also worth noting that the Groove Pillow comes complete with a pillowcase, with extra ones available to buy, including a cooling option and a silk and cotton blend.
Key Features of the Groove Adjustable Pillow

Adjustable Height and Depth for Personal Comfort
You can adjust the height and depth using the 4 removable inserts, which provide 3 height and 2 depth options, making it much easier to find a setup that works for you.
Ergonomic Neck Support
Memory Foam That Holds Its Shape
The foam moulds slightly to your shape but doesn’t collapse like traditional pillows.
Suitable for Different Sleep Positions
Whether you’re a side sleeper or back sleeper, the design aims to support both comfortably.
What It’s Like to Sleep On

There is definitely a bit of a learning curve with this pillow, as the first couple of nights can feel a bit strange while you find what position works best for you. However, once you get past those first nights, it’s a breeze and makes it worth persevering through.
Many who have used Groove have found:
- They toss and turn less
- Their neck feels better supported
- Sleep feels deeper and more restful
So if you’re specifically looking for a memory foam pillow for neck pain, this one could really shine.
Pros and Cons

Pros
- Adjustable height makes it more personalised
- Great neck and spine support
- Keeps its shape well overnight
- Works for side and back sleepers
- May help reduce aches and stiffness
Cons
- Takes time to get used to
- Firmer than a standard pillow
- Shape feels unusual at first
- Higher price point than basic pillows
Is the Groove Adjustable Pillow Worth It?

If your current pillow is doing the job, you might not feel the need to switch.
But if you:
- Wake up with neck or shoulder pain
- Struggle to get comfortable
- Constantly adjust your pillow at night
Then this could be a really worthwhile upgrade.
After all, as far as ergonomic pillows in the UK go, this one ticks a lot of boxes, especially if you want something customisable, which, to be honest, is a huge selling point of this pillow for someone like me who is very fussy on the height of their pillow.
Where to Buy
The Groove Adjustable Pillow is available to buy on their website, Groove Pillows, where the adjustable version costs £45.
Final Thoughts
The Groove Adjustable Pillow might feel a bit different at first, but that’s kind of the point: it’s designed to properly support your neck, not just feel soft and comfortable.
So if you are after a more supportive, adjustable option and are willing to give it a few nights to settle in, it could make a noticeable difference to your sleep.

This pillow look great for me, had to adjust my pillow several times at night, so will definitely look at trying this
Definitely worth having a look at especially as you can adjust it to how you need it as well.
This looks perfect for me, I often wake up with neck pain and I never considered it was my pillow. Definitely going to try this, thanks for the review.
Definitely worth a try – honestly a pillow that works for you really does make all the difference and what everyone needs is different.
I have been struggling to find the right pillow set up all of my life, and tried many different neck and spine pillows, but not one like this, could be worth a try!
I sleep sat up so probably not for me.
I already have a lovely pillow, I take it and my weighted blanket on holiday with me, I only holiday in the UK and go by car
I like the fact that it gives back and spine support. Not flattening overnight is a bonus!
Isn’t it the worst when your pillow turns into a pancake over night.
The Groove Pillow sounds great! I’m really struggling to find a pillow that suits me well at the moment. The one I’m currently using is far too flat so I bought a new one and it’s way too high! So frustrating and a waste of money too!
It’s so hard isn’t it? I don’t understand people who can just lay on a pillow and like it at first try lol.
Hubby just spent £200 on four pillows, we’ll see how they are….
Oh wow good luck! I hope they are really good for you.
I’ve not heard of this type of pillow before but after reading your review I would love to give it a go
I have a neck support pillow too. Once you are used to it, you miss it if you don’t have it!
I have a similar pillow – the relief to my neck pain was amazing. Will never go back
Same, I have the Original version of this pillow and neck pain comes back whwn I go to hotels etc 🙁
Oh no that’s such a shame 🙁 it’s so hard when you go away and the pillows just don’t work for you.
