Review: Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo and Conditioner
Finding out about my hair and what it needs is going to be something that continues this year. As such, I’m looking forward to my first ‘try’ from the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Range.
I’ve always loved anything tea tree or minty when it comes to washing my hair. So I was ready to jump into the shower and get trying when this pair arrived.

The Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner duo contains special ingredients to help rid your hair of impurities. They mix among other things tea tree oil, peppermint and lavender to help invigorate, moisturise and de-tangle your hair. It is safe for use on colour treated hair and ok for all hair types.
As I keep bringing up; I’ve had an awful bug since before Christmas and it really hit my nasal passages. So I have to say it was bliss to step into the shower with this pair as the steam and menthol scent reacted together and really cleared out my passages.
Enough with how it smells and onto how it works. The shampoo really does invigorate your scalp leaving it feeling tingly (in a good way) while the conditioner seems to tame and moisturise. The whole process cleanses your scalp and hair leaving it scented with a fresh minty scent. As well as feeling like it has boosted your hair to be the best it can be.
For me, this has been right up my street. Like I said at the beginning I’m a huge fan of minty scented hair products. While it also seemed to suit my hair. Though I think in the long term I might team it with something aimed at dryer hair just to try and even it out a little as I can see this shampoo and conditioner is suited more towards those with oily hair. Alongside those who suffer from a dry itchy scalp or dandruff.
Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo and Conditioner come in at £22.95 and £32.95 for 500ml from the Paul Mitchell website.

They sound great, but at my age I have to go for a hair thickening product
I like Paul Mitchell hair products, I haven’t tried this tea tree one before 🙂
Thank you so much.
This is one of the shampoos that ive never tried. I have tried a lot of different products as my hair is very dry due to highlighting. Ive used Bed Head but that seems to be too heavy, matrix is another that doesnt seem to work. I will give this one a go and see how it works. Cheers for the review.
I really hope it works for you I know how hard it can be finding a shampoo that works for you – many of the mainstream ones leave me hair looking like I have dreadlocks after a few washes. xx
