Testing a Portable Mental Health First Aid Kit: PeacePockets A Review
Sometimes it can be hard to find a moment of calm in this fast-paced world, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed, be that due to a never-ending to-do list, an appointment, or just life in general. That’s where the Mindful Moments Peacepocket (and others in the range) can help. From giving you a moment of calm, to helping you sleep or reduce anxiety there are 6 Peacepockets to choose from.
What is a PeacePocket?

The joint effort of a father and son team. The idea was born after the pandemic when Ryan found himself struggling with anxiety and panic attacks, especially on his commute home from work.
While he found apps helped, they were in some ways limited, especially if the signal went or the battery ran out. He felt he needed something physical and reliable that could step in when technology wasn’t the best choice and from there PeacePockets grew.
Each of the kits is completely portable and has been designed with tangible tools which are easy to carry in mind.
As someone who is finding more and more that having a physical object to take my stress out on helps, be that a stress toy or something else I was interested to see how PeacePockets might work for grounding myself when times are hard.
First Impressions of PeacePockets for Mental Health
Cleverly designed to help you discretely manage your moment, each kit is packed in a small zipped bag.
As someone who can’t visualise a thing in their head, it is nice to see that the technique cards include a range of mindful mediation moments, including one of my favourite grounding techniques of “5 things” which asks you to take in the world around you in 5 steps.
The egg timer of just 1 minute, shows that you don’t need to take long over your mindful moment, just a small time can help bring you back down or calm you.
The calming textured strip offers an easy-to-hold and discreet tool for those who find textures helpful.
You will also find a pair of earplugs for when you need to cut out all the noise, an LED candle and an affirmation keyring carefully picked for this first truly portable mental health kit.
What I Loved most about PeacePockets

- Pocket-sized peace – Literally! It fits easily in a handbag, pocket, or on your desk.
- Beautifully written prompts – They’re short, sweet, and surprisingly impactful, with something for everyone.
- Perfect for busy brains – You don’t need to commit to a full meditation session, just pull a card, pause, and breathe.
Why It Works
Life gets noisy. Between deadlines, social media doomscrolling, and the general chaos of adulting, finding a moment to breathe can feel impossible. The PeacePockets kit gently nudges you to take that moment. It doesn’t demand time or energy it simply offers support and mindfulness on your own terms.
Who It’s For
- Overthinkers who need a nudge to pause
- Busy parents, students, professionals, and those struggling with their mental health really it could work for anyone
- A thoughtful gift-giver looking for something to gift in a time of need
