Nelsons Calendula Cream – Moisturise with Marigolds! Review

If you’re anything like me you probably suffer from dry patches of skin, so I was over the moon when I was contacted and asked if I would like to try Nelson’s newly re-launched Calendula Cream, made to gently sooth from the harsh effects everyday life can have on you. Great for hands damaged due to the use of cleaning products, cold weather and busy lifestyles. Made with 100% natural Calendual – part of the Marigold family, which is well known for its skin conditioning properties. Gentle enough for daily use, Calendual cream is paraben free.

I have been trying this one out on my hands mainly around my nails as I get very dry skin around that area and one elbow as I was using something slightly different on one arm to the rest of my body which sadly didn’t keep my skin quite so hydrated.
I found it has a light scent, though I couldn’t really put a finger on what it smelt of, though luckily it wasn’t unpleasant and you really had to sniff to even get a whiff. The cream itself has a soft light texture, that is easily and quickly absorbed, it left behind a slight greasy feeling but that lasted no longer than a few minutes, so you could quickly get back on with what you were doing.

After use your hands feel protected also as though they have been covered in a light film, it’s not that your hands feel tacky or greasy – I can’t think of a way to describe it, other than maybe a silky layer over the skin.
A truly hydrating, soothing and pleasant experience for me and my skin.
