Munio Candela Soy Candles: Review
Saying I love candles is a little of an understatement, in fact my lounge is full of them and it is very rare that I don’t light one as soon as the darkness of the night draws in, I find them so relaxing, the faint flickering of the flame which I can notice out of the corner of my eye, and the scent that wafts around the room all help to make for a relaxing atmosphere in my eyes.
So while I was wandering around the wonderful My Pure website, a website dedicated to products that are good for you and for the environment, specialising in organic products that are free from all those nasties such as sulfates, parabens, phthalate and mineral oils to name just a few, as well as not being tested on animals and using recycled packaging – in fact it might be easier for you to click on over to the site and check out the My Pure promise. Of course with all these promise it means that My Pure is filled with a small number of amazing brands, ones which you know you can trust.
Of course though with all those fantastic cosmetics to try – I had to choose the candle, but this isn’t your standard candle oh no! Meat the wonderful:
Munio Candela – Inspiration Soy Wax Candle Poured in a Paint Can
Munio Candela offer a range of natural soy wax, hand pored candles, with each one infused with 100% pure essential oils to give off the most amazing scent.
The candle I picked is from Munio Candela’s new Apotheca collection which has been designed to improve a person’s mood, cognitive functions and wellness, it features a wooden wick and has been hand poured into a paint can, which has had the holes around the rim hand drilled.
Out of the two scents offered at the moment on My Pure, I decided to go for Inspiration, which includes the essentials oils of Patchouli and Ylang Ylang, which together offer up quite a deep, woody scent – which while I wouldn’t have picked if had someone described to me – I actually really do love.
If you have never burned a wooden wick candle then it really is an experience, as the wood softly crackles offering up a three sense experience which is definitely a candle must try in my eyes, as is this candle as a whole. I’ve yet to fully burn it through but I must have already got a good 10 – 15 hours out of it and with the average burn time of around 50 hours, I think it is at least right now on target for hitting that.
If you want to try the Munio Candela – Inspiration Soy Wax Candle Poured in a Paint Can for yourself it is available to buy from My Pure where it costs £23, which when you think of all the work that has gone into this, the burn time, the fragrance and the natural ingredients, really is a good price.
What do you think of my Munio Candle, do you fancy trying one yourself?

What a cute concept, and would make some nice whimsey decor to lighten up the mood a little!
Never heard of this brand before but candles are a lovely way of getting a cosy atmosphere during the cold winter months.
Looks interesting, would like to give this a go. Thanks for the review 🙂
Pretty design, I don’t have candles in the house, too many pet tails. 😉
What a great way to relax. I enjoy burning candles.
I love candles like you and I have a feeling that I would LOVE munico candela. Great pics and review 🙂
That’s some creative packaging! I like! And I LOVE the sound they make! Like a tiny fireplace LOL
I am a big fan of candles and how cute is it that it comes in a paint can! I love it.
Huge candle fan here too! I line them up in the bathroom and light them up for my bathtime 🙂 LOL! I find it so relaxing. Love that these are infused with essential oils (always smell so much better!)
Didn’t know you could make candles from soya – must investigate further …
Hey Sarah-Louise!
It’s been a while since I’ve been here. I really like the packaging of the candle and the burn time is impressive!
Aw i love candles they are so relaxing and coothy 🙂
Really clever idea. It looks both functional and lovely. That will last forever!
Hum-wonder if they are using recycled paint cans and if so how do they ever get them clean enough! I can’t burn candles in my apartment due to my tempermental cat who likes to swipe things off tables etc! I definitely know I would love the scent that you got!
I usually only buy Yankee candles now but this looks lovely may have to buy one 🙂 x
I love candles but usually buy Yankee Candles or Woodwick – I think I’ll be trying munio candela next time!
mmm this looks fantastic ,love your new layout too! 🙂 x
Thank you so much – it feels like ‘home’ already I have to admit x
I love candles and soy wax ones are great. When I make candles I always use soy wax as it means you can use the containers again as it is washable
I had forgotten about that – I have a nice glass from a soy candle I brought last year, completely reusable all the way through. x
It looks different.
I’ve never had a soy candle before
I adore candles and these, although a little pricey, look really pretty!
I love candles too, and have never tried one with a wooden wick. What a great idea.
Definitely worth trying, there is a few different brands that do then I think one is called woodwick they do mini ones and I tried my first from them. x
This looks great . I couldn’t do anything like because of the kids but looks so relaxing
This looks amazing – I love soy candles. Definitely one to try
I’m not a huge candle fan but this one looks very stylish.
I do like scented candles and I really like the packaging of this one. More original than the usual glass casing. Looks great 🙂 x
This candle looks lovely, makes me relaxed just looking at it x
im not a big fan of candle, this one though looks interesting and can be a good present to those who appreciate it more)
This candle seems great. I can’t light candles because I’m too clumsy to do this w ithout getting burned, but if I could, I’d sure love this one. The essential oils used are great.
I love candles, so relaxing, this looks cool
