  1. I really love Charades – but it never went down very well with my family! I was usually the youngest by more than 30 years and the grandparents in particular were never keen lol
    I used to be nearly as happy with Trivial Pursuit, which would be my second choice

  2. We love Pictionary in our house, but a more modern favourite has quickly become Kahoot as it’s so interactive and entertaining,

  3. Although we often play many board games, we usually end with a pack of playing cards for a game of Go Fish or Gin Rummy!

  4. My favourite game is 20 questions. We have had it as an adult board game for many years but with our grandchildren we use hand made cards in a number of categories (according to their age) One of them keeps the score allowing 20 questions (Y or N answers only) for the rest to solve. They still ask to play it even though the youngest will be 13 on Boxing Day and can play the board game now!

  5. We don’t really play games at Christmas, but if we were to we’d probably pick Uno or something easy like that ♥

  6. Our favourite game to play at Christmas is scrabble, we try to make it festive by adding Christmas related words.

  9. We love to play a game we dubbed the ‘gift bag game’ you have to pick up the gift bag with just your teeth, and each round we chop a bit off. You end up trying to grab the gift bag off the floor with no hands and it gets hilarious!

  10. We played Taskmaster for the first time last year and it was so much fun. Our favourite used to be Escape Room but I think Taskmaster is our new favourite. You must try it.

  11. favorite boardgame during the holidays is Pictureka. fun and simple enough for all ages, but just totally a fun game to enjoy competing and building skills.

  12. We have a family quiz game that we love to play as the younger children can join in too. We also play a lot of Uno.

  13. UNO is a fantastically fun game to play with adults and older children. Easy to learn and you don’t get bored of it easily.

  14. Its a bit geeky, but myself, my brother, and my nephew like to play a Warhammer game. It can be quite a long game, so perfect over the Xmas holiday period.

  15. I love the idea of Taskmaster games but wonder if it would suitable for the whole family, the silly games are the best ones though

  16. We always enjoy a Christmas themed quiz but in terms of board games Trivial Pursuit is always high on the list.
