Salcura Antiac – Review. A Natural Way To Fight Spots.

When I was contacted just over a month ago and asked if I would like to try out Salcura Antiac I jumped at the chance, my skin is yet to realise I am 26 and this means I suffer from breakouts throughout the month, with the worst being around that one hormonal time us women are plagued with. I started suffering with breakouts at 10 or 11, and have a certain chin spot that comes up every 28 days without fail. So I was interested to see if this bottle of natural ingredients could really do what all those chemical concoctions I have tried over the years couldn’t.
Antiac is a product suitable for use on anyone over 12 months old – the spray format means it is great to use on those harder to reach areas. It has been voted best Ache product by panel of testers on Channel 4s Embarrassing Bodies. It is completely paraben and chemical free.
The 3 main factors in making Antiac effective are:
1. Kills Bacteria: Tea-tree, Sandalwood, Manuka and Nerolina oil help to deal with bacterial infection.
2. Reduce Inflammation: Sea Buckthorn and Aloe help reduce the inflammation and promote skin healing.
3. Deep Cleansing: The deep cleansing action of the spray helps the ingredients of the product penetrate deeply into the skin, without the need for scrubbing while helping clear blockages and oily build-ups.

I do realise there is something odd about the above picture, the bottle is bigger than the box, for this I apologise, the original sample I was sent was the 50ml this didn’t last me the month (I obviously have a big head) so I purchased myself a 100ml and somehow I’ve ended up with the box of one and the bottle of the other.
The application process is a split into 3 steps.
1. Spray onto the affected area and massage into skin.
2. Soak a cotton pad in Antiac and wipe over skin.
3. Repeat step one.
For best results it is recommended that you use Antiac twice daily and make sure you use it on all areas you suffer with breakouts even if they are not present at the time.
Ingredients are:

I have to admit when I started using this I’m not sure what I expected, most likely nothing I’ve used so many products that have ‘claimed’ to help the outbreaks but to be honest I’ve found a lot just make it all worse even after the ‘wait and see’ period.
On application this product makes it feel like your skin is breathing, your pores are obviously open and letting the ‘goodness’ soak in.
Quite quickly it seemed to me as if any spots that were making their way through were dryer and quickly disappeared, I’m not sure if that was just coincidence or not. Throughout the month I have found I have had the odd small spot but nothing that stayed for long, or became overly big, I don’t remember even spotting a white head once. But the big test came with my one true foe – the chin spot which is always of epic proportions, I looked for it all month long, I think I even overly touched my chin yet it didn’t rear its head at all, the time of normal occurrence came and went so in the end I stopped looking and realised it wasn’t going to come up which lead to the epiphany that for me this product works, and it was something I could feel good about using on my skin, with it’s all natural ingredients.
I’ve been using it morning and night every day bar after I’ve used an exfoliator as I found the mix was a little too harsh for my skin, I have become a complete convert and although only part way through my second spray I have ordered a 3rd of the largest size to makes sure I don’t go without, as this has definitely become a must have on my bedside table.

**I toyed with the idea of before and after pictures but I hate looking at pictures of spots so decided to save you all from the indignity of having to look at mine.

Hi, wow this product sounds really good!
Thinking about buying it!
Is it good for olily skin?
Katie xx
Hi Katie,
I have oily skin and don’t have an issue with using it at all 🙂 x
Also.. do you have to wash your face with warm water to open your pours?! Then spray this stuff on?!
Thanks Sarah!
Won’t soaking salcura on cotton wool waste a load?!
I have been using salcura antiac for a few days now but not seeing a difference?! I told that this was Channel 4 ‘ Embarrassing Bodies best product to fight acne/breakouts. I apply the spray morning and evening. Am I applying it wrong? Not enough?
I don’t know. Please help!!
It may take more than a couple of days to start working and for you to see the difference I would give it at least a couple of weeks. 🙂
I use it after cleaning my face but before applying moisturiser if that helps.
Also are you doing the three steps with it?
1. Spray onto the affected area and massage into skin.
2. Soak a cotton pad in Antiac and wipe over skin.
3. Repeat step one.
Hopefully it will work for you 🙂 sadly though these things work different for everyone so it could be it isn’t right for you but definitely don’t get in after just a couple of days!
Tea tree’s lovely!
It’s fab isn’t it one of my go to products 🙂 x
