I was recently given the chance to try out Eye Candy’s XLR8 Lash and Brow Serum. Not only did the product itself grab me but the information on the brand itself.
They are proud to be a British company, with all of their high quality products being designed, tested and produced within the UK. Let’s be honest you can’t beat supporting a homegrown business.
The second thing was it has been a long time since I used anything to try and look after my lashes (my big bushy eyebrows hardly need a helping hand). As such they have been looking a bit worse for wear of late.
As such, I thought it was really good time to try and give them a bit of a pick me up.
XLR8 lash is best used twice daily and applied to dry lashes. It’s easily applied, you just run the brush from the inner corner of your eye to the outer. Or if you wish to use it on your brows apply it across the brow line.
This product is paraben-free and contains the natural seaweed extracts of Laminaria Digitata and Pelvetia Canaliculata. It uses a unique liposome-based delivery system to help produce a full and thicker look.
In Use – What Have I Noticed?
In the past month, since using XLR8, I have started to notice small changes in my lashes.
They have seemed to become darker in colour, whereas before some seemed to be turning quite blonde. Along with this, they’ve also been thickening out quite nicely.
I really do need to start looking after my lashes, as I realise I have been neglecting them. After all, if we don’t take care of what we have – we can’t complain when they start going downhill.
So for me, I think I have found a great way to keep them in tip-top condition, Thanks to the simple and easy to use Eye Candy XLR8 and I now love these lashes!
I will definitely be looking forward to seeing what continued use of the serum brings. As the first signs are definitely promising.

Interesting product. Too bad you didn’t take before and after pix, though. I’ve thought of using Latisse, but with blue eyes am terrified of turning them brown, so I have been looking for an effective non-prescription option like this one.
I stupidly forgot to take before pictures was convinced I had when to find them and nothing. I’d lose my head if it wasn’t screwed on I’m sure.
I think that would scare me as well – my eyes are bad enough without messing them up in other ways.x

I actually have been looking for a product like this. Was hesitant to try one because I had heard there were side effects. Glad to hear there is not.
Definitely haven’t been with this one for me – I can only say make sure you have a look at what they contain this one has the seaweed ingredients as the main ones. I did have a good google about this product after someone previously mentioned side effects in other products of this nature and I cannot find anything but praise for this one. x
This company looks like they make great products. Even though I don’t need mascara, I will have to check out what else they have to offer!
Definitely have a look as they do some great things – and I mean even if you don’t use mascara this is a great product as it looks after your natural lashes. x
I have been using a lash serum for quite a while now and it was great to read about this subject on here.. My eyelashes are so beautiful after first only using this amazing treatment for a short period. People comment when I am wearing mascara as it looks as though I have false lashes, and my eyes still stand out without any make up on. I have been struggling to find anymore as my usual brand has been discontinued, so thank you for bringing ‘Eye Candy’ to my attention. I just wouldn’t want to be without this enhancing serum x
Oh no what a shame your usual brand have been discontinued I hate it when that happens with a loved product. I can definitely say try this they are still improving now. x

After having lash extentions on since November my lashes are now in a very poor state! They are smaller (they were small to begin with) & have gaps!!!!! So this sounds like it could do my lashes some good, just have to wait until Ive finished decorating my bedroom before I purchase. Thanks for the review Sarah x
Oh no! What a nightmare – I really hope if you do get it it shows results for you – I noticed last night after I had written this my bottom lashes are definitely getting longer and becoming a lot more defined so they now look like they exist all the way along lol xx
I really enjoyed reading about this. I have tried so many things with my lashes…everything short of having fake ones 😀 I am glad to know there is something out there that shows results.
I’ve never been a fan of fake ones my lashes are naturally quite long and with wearing glasses it’s just not a good idea lol. I guess it’s the same principle as our hair we don’t look after that it doesn’t look good. x
I never use it before. Daily I rarely use any makeup 😀

Thanks for this review! Were there any side effects? Burning eyes or changes in eye color? I’ve done some research on similar, US-based products and thos were some of the complaints.
Nope nothing at all – I have quite sensitive eyes as well. I did manage to get a bit in my eye at one point but I just washed it out as was advised and all was fine 🙂 x
