Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 9.7″ W10E: Review
I love Nixplay as a brand. I have been lucky enough to work with them before, most recently on my review of the Nixplay Iris.
One thing that amazes me about them is when you think they have covered it all they bring out a new frame, with new and better features.
This September saw the release of a collection of new frames. Some are already ready to buy and some are to be released.
I was kindly sent the W10E, which is available to buy now and comes with some exciting features.

One of the things Nixplay is trying to show with this latest collection is how they can bring families closer.
Sadly, in this day and age, we aren’t always able to see loved ones as often as we would like. Many families have memories who are spread across the world.
Which may leave you wondering, just how can a photo frame bring you closer.
Well, this photo frame is smart, in many ways. Just one, however, is it allows people to send photos directly to your frame.
Meaning you can see the moments soon after they happen.
You might be thinking, but surely that’s going to be hard to do? Well, it isn’t.
There are a couple of ways to share photos with friends and family members. The first is if they don’t have the app on their phone, they can simply email you photos which can be added to your frame.
While if they have the app, you can become “friends” with each other and share photos directly with each other in seconds.
You have quite a bit of control over what happens with photos being sent to you. Such as having them come up directly onto your frame, or if you want to accept them beforehand.
I think this is an amazing feature and one which will be used within so many circles.
More Upgrades.
This new range of frames comes with a new range of features. One of which may just change the way you look at these frames.
While I love my Nixplays, I have often thought wouldn’t it be nice to be able to hang them. This would also negate my issue with standing them up as they would simply be hung.
As well as allowing me to see photos at a different hight, as well as giving more options on where they can be placed.
Well now, this is a possibility. At least some of the new collection can be hung both portrait and landscape on your wall.
These also keep up the trend of having an Hu-Motion Sensor, meaning your photos will never use up power when you aren’t around to see them.
I’m sure your thinking surely that’s it Sarah, but no the surprises keep on coming!
The W10E can also be linked to Alexa! You just need to ask to play the playlist you want.
Photo Uploads.
Of course, I spoke earlier about how friends and family can send photos to you. However, how do you upload them yourself?
There are three main ways to upload photos, emailing them to your frame, via your computer and the app, which is available on both Andriod and iOS.
What’s more, you can easily connect with Google Photos, alongside Dropbox, Facebook and Instagram to make sure you’re always getting your own latest photos.
It is amazing how simple and easy it is to see your photos in motion.
If you are wondering about picture quality then the W10E may excite you as it comes with a 2K Ultra display. While you can also play videos with sound, thanks to the 2 small speakers on this frame.
Lately, it is probably worth mentioning the remote is magnetic and can be attached to the frame for storage.

I have always wanted one of these smart photo frames.
I’ve been thinking about a smart photo frame for a while, I’ve got so many lovely photos I’d love to display, and it would solve the problem! Also, my partner’s surname is Nix, so he loves the idea of this!
They really are good, I maybe holding a competition to win one soon!
This would make a great present for my grandparents this christmas and we love that you ca just email them pictures to add into the frame!
It is such a lovely idea of a gift, especially as you can send them new pictures direct!
My daughter has one of these it’s brilliant . I have one on my Xmas list then I can put all my little grandson ‘s photos in from when he was born . They really are fab much better than boarding pics in your phone.

Oh wow, when i read your review, i thought what a great Christmas gift for my mum, she loves her photos and gadgets, but then i saw the price, i decided perhaps it wasnt such a good idea, lol
This is one of the more expensive frames – they have many others in the range. For instance if you check out my review of the Iris that is about 1/2 the price of this one 🙂

I love the idea of having a smart photo frame because I could load it up with all my favorite photos of the kids, pets, and more. Maybe I’ll ask Santa to bring me one. 🙂

I love the idea of this for my husband’s Nanny. We don’t see her as often as we would like as she lives a 5-hour drive away. I think she’d love this so we could send regular updates from the children etc.
I think it is perfect for that sort of situations as it means you can send them things as and when they happen.
I have a Nixplay frame and absolutely love it! It’s such a fun way to actually see your photos every day instead of keeping them hidden in your computer or buried in your phone.

It is such a good idea in that sort of situations, the fact you can set it up to go automatically to the frame is amazing.
