The Smile Parcel – Review
Around the time I was starting my blog, the subscription box word was just taking off.
These days subscription boxes have come a long way and now offer all sorts of products. From those which keep up that very first makeup trend to pins, socks, beer and so much more.
On that note, today I want to introduce you to The Smile Parcel.
This box has already caught the attention of Theo Paphitis; winning his Small Business Sunday and Jacqueline Gold; becoming a #WOW Winner.
The idea is to bring a smile to people’s faces. They understand that everyone gets down from time to time and might need a pick-me-up. This started off with “The Smile Parcel” a mystery monthly box, which could be subscribed to or offered as a one-off.
Since the start, the family of smile has grown and if you check out their Etsy Store, you will find delights such as; “The Smile Parcel Select” which are prefilled boxes you can grab knowing the content and “The Smile Parcel Plus” which is the same as The Smile Parcel but comes with an added extra a Soy Candle!

Back to the original “Smile Parcel”.
This costs between £16 and £19 per month depending on the length of contract you sign up to.
One of the things I love about The Smile Parcel is that they look to team up with small businesses with each box.
So not only are you giving yourself a smile and supporting this small sub box maker but in the larger picture supporting other small businesses owners.
This means each box contains items from companies you are going to know, as well as introducing you to new ones as well.
The Smile Parcel – June. Theme – Step Outside.
I was kindly sent the June box to have a nose at and I am one of those people where first impressions can mean a lot.
I was excited from the moment I lifted the lid. Thanks to the sweet flower and theme label, plus noticing the “in your box list” was topped with my name!
Each item within the box is listed, alongside why they have been chosen. As well as a URL to find any small crafters included!
So what was in the box?
Always Bee Yourself Sunglasses Case – While we live in the UK and the sun might be rare it is always a good idea to have sunglasses at the ready as your eyes need looking after and protection.
This case means you can throw a pair in your car or bag and they will be there when you need them.
Rainbow Pin – Sometimes we all need to remember that from the rain, something beautiful can form, and I think this pin does just that.
Filigree Heart – This is just a cute and sweet item, which is so pretty to hang around your home.
Rainbow Drops – These took me right back. When I lived with my parents there was a petrol station at the end of the road which sold these.
That petrol station has long since been turned into houses!
Bee Pebble – Handmade Item Alert! Coming from emsi2110 is this cute little bee pebble.
As the parcel content list reminds me, bees practically keep us all going, pollinating so many things. I personally love the feel of this pebble as well, it feels quite grounding to the touch.
Clay Sunshine – The sun will come up, just keep looking for it.
This small sunshine really brought a smile to my face when I saw it. I feel like I need to put it somewhere I will see it every morning.
Every Lovely Word Card – Another handmade item incoming! This time from Red Fox Designs we have this sweet little postcard. By the way, totally check them out as I am in love with some of their items!
This is such a nice card to either keep, to remind yourself OR pass onto someone you know needs to remember they are every lovely word.
Smile Card – This is apparently something that comes in every box. A couple of little cards, one pre-written for you to keep and another plain one for you to write and do what you want with.
I totally love the idea of popping it somewhere for someone else to find. I’m off on holiday soon so I might just pack it and leave it somewhere en route.
Parcel Assistant – I have no idea if these come in every box but I really hope they do! I have no idea why but I think it’s such a sweet idea and thanks Colin for my parcel. I’ll be sure to keep him away from water!
Thoughts.
I hands up love The Smile Parcel I got.
There is something really sweet about it, from the way it is curated with the personal touch, the thought put into each item and the fact Ash can steal some Rainbow Drops always makes him happy as well.
Once I have some spare pennies, I am 100% going to be signing up to see what some future boxes contain!

Subscription boxes are awesome. Who doesn’t love getting something OTHER than bills in the mail?! I have about 25 of these on my wishlist (I obviously don’t want all of them but my husband gets to pick one to surprise me lol)

I love this idea. People need to be reminded that we’re thinking of them at times. I have a friend that offers condolence gifts in lieu of flowers that are amazing like this.
