YumeTwins – Kawaii Subscription Box from Japan
Hands up who doesn’t love all things cute and kawaii?
Yup me too!
So when YumeTwins got in touch with me and asked if I would be willing to review their monthly subscription box full of all things adorable, straight from Japan I, of course, said yes!
Who are YumeTwins.
From the same company who has brought us amazing boxes and shopping websites such as; TokyoTreat, JapanHaul and others.
YumeTwins, in particular, is dedicated to bringing a box of 6-8 items each month which can be practical and fun.
You will be thrilled to hear that each item featured within this box is fully licensed and comes from much-loved brands such as Sanrio!
Boxes start from $31.50 if you subscribe for a year, or can be bought monthly at a cost of $35 per box.
Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to try a whole host of different boxes from around the world and I have to say I was really impressed with how usable and practical everything in this box is.

So what was included in the box?
Moving Bunny Ears Hat – Apparently, right now these moving ear hats are taking Japan by storm! A surprise of either white or pink was inside this months box. To make the ears move all you need to do is squeeze together one of the paws and your see that sides ear flap about.
While it’s probably a bit warm for such a hat over here right now, this box is curated to be shipped worldwide and as such for many, this is the perfect time for hats. For now, I’m putting this away to embarrass Ash with later in the year.
Sparkly Kawaii Bowl – Which bowl will you get? Hello Kitty, Doraemon, My Melody, Sumikko Gurashi or another?
Perfect for grabbing your morning cereal in, this bowl is perfect for all those kawaii fans out there.
Sumikko Gurashi Coaster – Cute and useful, that seems to be the aim of this box and another useful item is this coaster.
Made from cork and featuring 1 of 4 Sumikko Gurashi characters, the only question once again will be which ones in your box and who gets to use it?
Glitter Character Keychain – It’s a surprise inside a surprise! Will you get Sanrio, Sumikko Gurashi or Doraemon?
Each box offered a chance to get 1 of 4 keychains! Now if only I could collect them all, they are so cute.
Sakura Sponge – Perfect for your kitchen a pair of sponges shaped like cherry blossoms.
If you can’t make cleaning fun, at least use some fun items to clean with right?
Sakura Container – Keep everything nice and neat in this cherry blossom box.
This is something we will use for days out and about I think, Ash always needs to keep snacks on him so while it’s pink and girly, it will be perfect.
Character Letter Set – 12 pieces of paper, 6 envelopes and a set of stickers, which one will you get out of 4 characters?
I actually used to collect things like this when I used to write to pen friends, I had a huge box full of all different Kawaii letter sets! This really takes me back.
Thoughts.
I always think of subscription boxes as being hit and miss. You’re going to like somethings which have been included and somethings you may not.
However, I LOVE The fact YumeTwins have come up with a box which is not only Kawaii and you’re going to go awww as you open each and everything, but a box which is useful.
Nothing feels like something you’re just going to look at and go, oh that’s cute and then never think of again. It is all useful and that has in someways floored me as I’ve not come across a box quite like it before. Which has managed to mix kawaii with useful and win.

I’d been toying with the idea of subbing to this box for some time but this might have swayed my opinion. I can’t believe there’s so many useful (and ADORABLE) things in this one!
I was really impressed by how well thought out it all was, so much is so usable which is something I’ve not found with other boxes.
I’ve had a couple of subscription boxes before and been so so disappointed, lots of items were ok and if I was lucky there was one semi decent item. This looks so well thought out in terms of usability. Not just aesthetic over substance
I am with you on that some of them seem to just put in “cute tat” which is nice for the few seconds your getting it out the box and then you think wait a second what actually can I do with this?!

Oh my gosh, this is all so cute! I remember having The Little Twin Star Stickers when I was little and absolutely cherishing them and I think my daughter would feel the same way if she received this box!

Of course, you are right, some things we like and some we don’t in a subscription box…but getting unusual things in the mail is just awesome, isn’t it?? And the things we don’t want we can always pass on to make someone else happy too. I love this subscription box!
