Nixplay Iris Review
Long gone are the day when to see your photos you had to print them out.
These days more or less all of us take our photos digitally. Be it on our phones or a camera.
The downside of this is many of just don’t display them. We either just share them with friends and family on social media.
I was having a conversation with my Mum the other day. These days we look back on early photos to see glimpses of the past. But what will the future look back on for our times? How many photos will be lost to time, somewhere out there on the internet but locked behind passwords?
Anyway enough of thinking of the future, how can you display those loved photos right in the here and now?
Nixplay Iris.
So what can you do with all those digital photos?
Well, how about sharing them via the Nixplay Iris.
This clever wifi digital photo frame will help you share all your photos, new and old in your home.
Using the Nixplay App you can set your frame up to share any photos you wish. You can even set them up into different play folders if you wish to share different photos at different times.
While of course, you can directly upload photos from your phone, computer and social media. You can also give family and friends access to share photos directly with your frame, or opt not to have them sent and allow yourself the choice to view and sort before sending them other.
This makes it a great way for the family to share with elder members, as they can have complete control while the receiver just sits back and watches new photos come in.

Nixplay Iris Design.
The Nixplay Iris comes in a choice of colours, peach cooper (as seen in this post), silver and burnished bronze and plays photos on a 4:3 high-resolution IPS display.
It comes in at 8 inches in size and the power cable acts as a stand, meaning you can place the frame where ever you wish around the home.
What’s more the Nixplay Iris powers on when it notices noise in the room and powers off again when the room goes quiet, while it also adjusts its display to the brightness in the room.
If you are looking for a way to play videos as well as show photos, then you may be glad to hear that you can send these to your Nixplay cloud and your frame will play them with sound.
It also comes complete with a controller in case you want to control what is playing yourself.
What we Think of the Nixplay Iris.
I think we all thought that the Nixplay Iris was a great idea. It is fantastic that you can send photos directly to the frame.
What’s more, the fact that you can share with friends and family is fantastic. I think it would be wonderful to see new pictures of loved ones popping up from time to time.
I love the silk colour to the frame, it looks very modern and sophisticated. While photos look stunning on the screen and I love the fact you can rotate the frame to portrait or landscape.
My only niggle was I personally found it hard to stand up. The cord cable is a great idea in theory but with the fact I am so clumsy and my shakes I found it hard to work with in practice.

ive wanted one of these for a long time, great way to display memories
They are fab aren’t they! Such a lovely way to share memories with people.
This is such a brilliant idea, I would love to display my photos like that.
It is lovely isn’t it I love how it just cycles through your favourites.
I love the look of one of these, i love taking photos and printing out photos but i just don’t have anywhere to put them so this is a great idea. Also would make a lovely present for Mother’s Day too! xo

My mother in law used to have something like this and I loved watching all the photos change every couple of minutes. I don’t think I’ve seen her have it on display for a long time though. I’m wondering now what happened to it!! 😀

This sounds great! I love taking pictures, but then they just live in my sd card or my computer file. This would be a great way to share them and enjoy them as well.
It is such a shame isn’t it – I think so many of us just keep them unseen.

I always liked the old idea of actual photo albums instead of everything digital these days. Nixplay Iris sure sounds like an amazing product!!

I used to print everything I took pictures of but stopped since I have tons of photo albums here already. This is one good alternative.
