At Home with Deyongs
Spending a lot of time at home means I like it to be comfortable and cosy. Always being in pain means the little things can make a huge difference.
I have to admit while the bungalow is small it also means that there is never far to go from one room to another.
In fact, I can sit on the sofa and see Sal snoozing on the bed, which is really nice.
When Deyongs offered to send me some items to pep up my home from Spring I was really excited to change a few things around.
So what did this lovely company send me?
Scandi Sherpa Fleece Throw
I suffer from the weather, the cold means I am freezing and the warmth makes me too hot. Yes, I moan whatever the weather is outside.
However, I have a reason as my body cannot regulate its temperature.
So when it comes to blankets I love them thick, warm and fleecy and this beauty from Deyongs ticks all those boxes.
This Scandi style fleece features a super soft front, which is backed by sherpa fleece. Meaning it is not only warm but super comfortable to snuggle under on or on.
Making it the perfect blanket to have in the home all year around.
Due to the fact that in the colder weather, you can use it curl up under and keep you warm. While in the summer, it fits a two-seater sofa perfectly as a throw.
This blanket is completely machine washable and you can just pop it in the dryer. (Is there anything nicer than a freshly laundered warm blanket?)
I think both I and Ash felt this was a well-made blanket. The size of it means Ash may have stolen it for himself as the larger size is perfect for his tall self, as it wraps comfortably around his legs and feet.
With the weather on the change, you might think it is a strange time to buy a blanket, but it’s still cold right now and delivery from Deyong is quick.

The Lyndon Company Peacock Printed Duvet Set
Over the years my bed has changed what it is for me.
For most, it is a place for sleep. They may spend some time in it reading and perhaps get the odd breakfast in bed.
For me it is something more, sometimes I barely see the outside of it for a day or two.
My bed to me is a place I want to feel comfortable. It is a place I spend a lot of time and some days don’t get out of.
For me, my bed has to be comfortable and supportive, and that includes the bedding.
This set is made from 100% cotton. It is completely machine washable and can be popped in the dryer. Something which for me is important.
Ash perhaps had the best words to say about this set, as while I said it was wonderful and soft, he went further.
He said:
I think it gave me the best sleep I’ve had in a while. It seemed to add some extra weight to the duvet, which in turn helped with a better nights sleep.
Personally, I was impressed with the quality of this bedding. It is well stitched and is piped around the edge, which adds to the luxury feel.

I totally relate to this article. Havibg health conditions too which means I spend alot more time in bed and also having a body temperature thermostat that also goes from cold to hot and back again in a minute I am always looking for ways to make my life more comfortable. The blanket is on at a fab price and like the bedding is lovely .

As a fellow chronic pain and fatigue sufferer I can identify so much with this post! Particularly the need for nice but practical bedding. I keep meaning to look at blankets as our energy bill is huge with me being at home full time and this one sounds lovely and cosy and a right bargain at the moment!
Urgh I know the feeling ours is the same, Ash seems to feel the cold more since his diagnosis as well so he likes the heating on all the time lol.
Deyongs seems like a great product. I lived in fleece most of the year when I lived in an arctic climate.

I’m intrigued that Ash thought the duvet was weighted. I can’t stand flimsy duvets (in case the thing from under the bed gets me). I keep reading about weighted blankets too so will have to explore those (different subject I know)
It actually got us talking about weighted blankets, he would quite like one I think, but I worry about them feeling claustrophobic. I’d definitely get him one though.
I love the blanket. We have one that is similar to that and my dog, Theo, always wants to snuggle underneath it. It is the best blanket in the house!

Your story reminds me of the time when we used to live in a two bedroom home. Although it was small for the four of us but I loved it because I feel like we were so close to each other.

I love that sherpa throw. Scandanavian prints have always been some of my favorites, they just seem so cozy to me.

I love the scandi blanket! I am a nightmare when it comes to temperature I get WAY to hot in summer and get constant sweats and am freezing in winter all the time.
