  1. Bullying he’s I can relate to this I was bullied at school for my hair colour . Just because I’m ginger I felt isolated nobody wanted to be my friend . I had this all through school. My father wanted me to go to art college as I was always the top in it. I did like it but been fed up of school rather put me off . I wanted to earn my own money s settled for office work. Years later I got married and started a family. I’m still quite reserved and don’t have lots of friends just a few. The outcome of bullying does affect your future life. I too like you have had mental health problems not nice! I think all schools should have more to do with what’s going on with the children and taught lessons about bullying and what it cando. I’m definitely on the alert for my 5 year old grandson !

    1. Bullying is awful isn’t it – it makes me so sad that even now it’s still as rife as ever. It seems to not have an ending.

  2. I came across this and my heart is broken for you, it makes me so angry when bullies get away with their behaviour. It just goes to show how damaging it is yet I sometimes feel the victim is made to feel as though they are complaining needlessly.
That said You’re doing so well for yourself, I’d say you’ve come out on top.

  3. I was bullied all through school and it was an extremly hard time for me. I have blocked most of it out but what I find funny is the people that bullied me say hello or stop me to catch up as if nothing happened. (Maybe they have a guilty conscience). I have been left with low self asteem and lack of confidence which had held me back over the year. Anything to stop this happening to other people is fab in my book x

  4. Found your post thanks to you and Bex awesome new Past & Present linky. I’ve got to say I didn’t know Hollyoaks took things so seriously and addressed such big issues so well – I’ve never been a fan – but this sounds like something which could really have been hugely powerful in helping people deal with the problems in their lives.
I was bullied when I was 5 or 6 but still remember it entirely and there aren’t many feelings in life that are worse – I’m so sorry you’ve had so much to deal with and hope things now are much brighter.
    Wonderful post 🙂
