The Book of Everyone
Are you stuck on what to buy your Mum for Mother’s Day, is her bathroom cupboard filled to the brim with cosmetics and her kitchen already holds many mugs? Then how about giving her the gift of a book about her, from The Book of Everyone.
The special for Mother’s Day edition comes with a heart cover design, that can be edited to include your Mums name and has a choice of different colours are available. Just inside the cover you will find a dedication page that is editable to include your own wording – but the fun doesn’t stop there.
While The Book of Everyone puts together the base of the book, there are many pages you can edit. Some changes are simple such as allowing you to change the background of page; others are larger allowing you to edit text, put in pictures and even choose the whole design of a page.
I actually found the process of putting the book together great fun, it was interesting trying to think of what designs my Mum would like best and also in how many ways I could embarrass her or add in silly “in jokes” that would just make the book a little more personal.
The website makes sure it is easy to put your book together, no matter who it is for, guiding you through each step of the process. Each page is full of something different from facts from the recipients year of birth, to how to say their name in sign language and so much more.
But what did my Mum think?
Well she was over the moon, although I’m not sure if she was slightly put out by the potato fact or not and she certainly had a good giggle when she found the photo I had used of her and my Dad. She’s been banned from showing people the book because of that picture, but I have a sneaky suspicion she may just show her friends.
Personally I think this is a really nice gift idea and something that will definitely last and could easily be a talking point and great coffee table book.

Ah, those were the days when a garden gnome was only 30p! Only kidding, makes you think though, doesn’t it. I recently found an old Welsh Bible belonging to my mum & inside the cover is a pencilled list of things to take with her to teacher training college in Wrexham. Top of the list was her Rations Book! How things have changed, eh?
