Ozeri Electric Pepper Mill: Review
I grew up in a home where there was always a pepper mill on the table, my Dad is a huge lover of it and I don’t think there are many meals he doesn’t add a “twizzle” or two, too. So for me he has to be the perfect person to try out the Ozeri Electric Pepper Mill, after all he is one fussy person and I cannot even start to think of all the different styles of pepper mill my Mum has brought over the years, to try and get him the perfect one.
Before I get onto the good, I’m going to start with the ‘annoying’. The mill itself takes 6 AAA batteries (not included) and it isn’t easy to open, even Ash had difficulties at first, however it does get easier over time, as you open up the first part of the mill for refilling as well.
The second niggle is the size changer, I could imagine it being great while you are cooking to be able to quickly switch between grinding size, however that isn’t possible. You actually need to tip the mill upside down, shake all the peppercorn residue out, give the button a quick press to make sure all trace has been removed, before you can twist to change the size.
While both issues are slightly annoying neither are deal breakers or at least they definitely weren’t for my Dad.
When it comes to handling the mill has a soft outer coating to the top portion which makes for a very comfy, non-slip grip when in the hand and it is easily workable one-handed, as you only need to press the push button on the top to start the grinder up and release to stop it.
As with all Ozeri products I have tried, I cannot fault this product on quality, as it has definitely been well made.
This mill has become a regular feature on my parent’s table, which certainly says something in my Dad’s world, as if he doesn’t like something it is quickly out and the old faithful is brought back in.
I think if someone is looking for a simple mill, which removes the elbow work out of grinding pepper this mill is definitely worth looking at, if however you wanted to switch between grinding sizes a lot, it perhaps isn’t the best mill for you.
The Ozeri Electric Pepper Mill is available from Amazon and you can, as always, find out more information about it there.
What do you think of the sound of the Ozeri Electric Pepper Mill, does any of your family use pepper a lot?

To be honest, I’m not sure I could be converted from a traditional pepper mill.
I love using pepper in almost every meal I make so having a good pepper grinder is a must! I need an electronic one like this one though, going to have to get one!
Would be lost without a pepper grinder. An electric one sounds fab although the little one’s would probably empty it quite quickly! lol! Saying that – hubby always manages to cover the entire table with pepper so maybe he’d be better with an electric one! 🙂
Thanks for this, I was thinking of buying a new pepper and salt mill as mine are ancient. This looks good but I don’t like the sound of having to use 6 batteries!
Having an electric pepper mill would be so convenient. I imagine it is less of a mess in the kitchen too.
Nice! I have always wanted one but just use a regular hand grinder one. Maybe I’ll pick this one up
This is something I want! How cool that it takes the work out of grinding the peppers 😛
We leave salt and pepper shakers on the table because my husband uses so much of it. These would be the perfect gift for him.
Very cool. I need to get a new one and I have been looking at getting a grinder one. I miss my old one, this looks great!
Our pepper mill broke, my husband has been asking for a new one. This one sounds great for him!
I love how Ozeri have great stuff like these – I wish we have a local Ozeri here.. I bet we’ll be getting tons of their products.
I have this and LOVE it! We use ours every day. It is so convenient to get the pepper with just a push of a button!
That is so cool, I never thought that they’d make an electric pepper mill; this is something I’d love to have!
I have an old fashioned pepper mill grinder. While I love this I can never always keep batteries on hand so would hate for it to die in the middle of me doing something.
We love pepper but I could imagine the kids playing with one of these – and breaking it!
Nothing better than freshly grated herbs. That looks like a handsome grinder.
My son in law would love one of these. He has about a million different grinders for different things in the kitchen, but he just broke his peppermill.
We’ve got one of these and once we got past the first tricky opening, we absolutely love it.
That is very interesting. This would be very useful for our house!
I want one of these. I do not own a pepper mill.
I need a new pepper mill so I think I will check this one out when I’m out at the stores. I love pepper too.
Ooo, I don’t have an electric one of these! I like!
We are not pepper lovers and, in fact, I think I still have an old pepper mill with a little bit of pepper left in it from years ago!
Thank you for your honest opinion! I will definitely consider this when looking to purchase a pepper grinder.
We just buy the mccormick grinders and use them. It’s funny seeing somebody that has never used one before figure it out 🙂
Oh cool this looks really slick! Sometimes I open up the wrong side of my shaker and spill pepper all over….
We just discovered that our peppermill is broken. (We tried to use it this week!) I like this one, but the amount of batteries is a LOT!
My husband loves pepper!! He has wanted an electric pepper mill for a while and I think I might get this one for him.Only thing that put’s me off, slightly, is the amount of batteries it needs. x
