OXO Large Upright Dustpan: Review
I find it very hard to use a vacuum and if Ash isn’t around to do it for me I reach for a dustpan and brush instead, but of course bending to brush things up doesn’t really work to well either, so when I saw the large upright dustpan from OXO I jumped at the chance of reviewing it.
The OXO Large Upright Dustpan is sized at H100 x W28 x D11cm and made of plastic and aluminium it is part of the good grip collection.
On opening the handle is locked into place, meaning you aren’t going to have any accidents when you try and empty it (please say I’m not the only who has had a dustpan flip about on me and empty itself onto the floor again).
Across the lid of the pan is a number of ‘teeth’ which can be used to get those last bits of fluff (or fur as it is in this place) that has been wedged within your brush (I bet my neighbours are glad I don’t have to bang it against the walls so much).
As for height teamed with a broom of around the same size it has taken all the bending out of cleaning, which means the animals can throw sawdust out of their cage to there delight and I can clean up simply and easy. Thank you OXO!

The teeth are such a clever little addition!
The main problem I find with housework is that six months later you have to do it all again.
Saying that though, I did recently get a steam cleaner and that has been really good for purging the grot quite easily. I’ve even been cleaning when there’s no one due to visit!
This looks like a great product! With a black cat, a white dog and all tile and wood floors at the house, I sure would use it! LOL

This is a very unusual dustpan by the looks of it. I am familiar with the OXO brand. This dustpan also looks so much better than the basic one in my house. Definitely will keep an eye out for one of these. Thanks for the review. 🙂

as someone who has headed down the baby led weaning route this would be a pretty useful thing to have! and way cheaper than a dust buster too!

Very handy as I’m usually on my hands and knees with a dustpan and brush. Downstairs is all wooden floor / tiles so I try and use a dustpan instead of the vacuum to save a bit of money after reading that they use a lot of electricity. Probably saving pence but nevermind. I would definitely use this.

These sorts of dustpans are brilliant for when you can’t/don’t want to bend down to sweep up the crumbs.
lol I’ve just been looking at the first pictures completely unable to see it properly, work out where/what it is exactly. Then I scrolled down and saw the last one and it was obvious!! Looks great, I do prefer smaller ones to put away when not in use though.
Love the way the dust pan has a backing on it – keeps everything from flying around and dust going everywhere (number one reason why I hate using a broom!). Great product!
I also have Fibro so I understand what you are saying about the challenges of cleaning. This dust pan looks really good! I like the teeth on it that makes it very useful and unique. I will have to see if I can find one of these because I need all the help I can get!
