When I first moved out of home many moons ago I found it so funny my Mum was telling me to buy mattress and pillow protectors I mean wasn't that what the pillow case was for as well as making it look pretty? I soon enough found out it wasn't when pillows needed throwing away quickly, getting stained and worst of all getting mouldy due to the damp flat I lived in back then. So ever since I have always made sure I had pillow and mattress protector on my bed well I had in the past.
Back when we moved it had been decided we would get a new bed and grab the change to upgrade to a king size so I decided I might as well just though out all the bedding and order us some brand new bits but sadly the shop I was buying from cancelled the pillow protector part of my order due to stock levels and I just haven't got around to replacing them as of yet. So when The Bedding Company asked me to review something from their site I was thrilled when a Silentnight pillow protector dropped through the door.
I have to admit in the short time I was without a pillow protector I did feel a difference which surprised me as I assumed it was just there for protection. Whereas in fact I also found my pillow would end up feeling more scrunched and flat by the morning. Since I have been using the Silentnight quilted pillow protector my pillows really seem to be kept in much more of a good shape overnight feeling more plump and shapely of a morning. I guess that is down to the fact it is filled with hollow fibres and bringing just a little more comfort to your night's sleep.
It really has amazed me just how much those little pillow protectors do – and for only a few pounds! The Bedding Company sent me the: Silentnight Quilted Pillow Protector which comes in at just £2.99 for one or £4.99 for two.
Do you use pillow protectors; do they make a difference for you?
