There isn't that much longer, untill spring is at our doorstep and if you are tired of winter fashion and long for something a bit more free flowing, there are so many ways you can change a long dress up, for the cooler months. I've been nosing over at some long dresses from JD Williams which are just perfect for adjusting for this time of year.
Frill Sleeve Midi Dress – £35
I personally love the colourful patterning on this dress, which makes it really cheerful on a dull day. If you are worried about getting cold, you could add on top a cardigan along with some tights to keep out the cold a little, until the warmth of summer arrives.
Scarlett & Jo High Collar V Neck Dress – £55
Taking its inspiration from the 40's this knee length, quarter sleeved dress, could be perfectly warmed up using a shrug or throw over your shoulders. Image a nice white shrug, perhaps pinned at the front with a brooch, which would tie in wonderfully with the 40’s look.
Plain Black Cut-Out Back Midi Dress – £9
Now you might be wondering how on earth you could make a sleeveless dress work in the cooler weather? Well how about adding a pair of Wingz? While the idea is to use them if you don't like your arms, they are perfect for using if you want to add sleeves in the colder months as well.
Tapestry Print Boho Dress – £19.60
This is perhaps my favourite of them all; check out the patterning and the beautiful colours. I personally adore the boho look of this dress and I could see it working really well with a nice warm pair of boots, alongside tights to help bring a bit more warmth to the dress.
I think the most important thing is to dress, how you want to. If you think outside the box a little there is always a way to make things work as the seasons change.
What do you think of these dresses, could you see yourself wearing any of them?
