Treats for your Four Legged Woofler

I think I’ve mentioned before about Sally and her tummy it can be a bit dodgy and she’s on special diet, the trouble is she’s bored of it and to be honest I don’t blame her, there’s nothing interesting to it just brown pellets of food – so we’re up for trying anything to spice (not literally, Sally’s belly don’t worry) it up a bit.
When I was contacted to see if Sally might like trying some of Wilkinson’s new Luxury Dog Treats I of course said yes – I mean the worst that could happen was what happens quite often anyway. New food or not new food.
What jumped out at me about the food was the fact they are made with 100% natural ingredients and are high in quality meats that’s always a good sign when it comes to Sally’s tum!
Wilkinsons Wilkos Dog Food Tender Duck Fillet Treats and Chicken with tuna with vegetables, rice and beans topping
We were sent two packets of the Tender Duck Fillet Treats and two of the Chicken with tuna with vegetables, rice and beans topping.
When opening both of the packets you are greeted by an aroma that in my mother’s words was completely edible, none of that ‘animal food’ smell that can turn your stomach just a nice fresh meaty smell (when it comes to the duck treats think crispy duck om nom nom).
I think the topping shows this off the best though, there’s no sluggy dark look to this food, you can pick out each bean, each slice of carrot, it does actually look really nice.

We used about 1/2 a packet on top of her food in the above picture, and as you could see it could actually pass for a human meal (bar those brown biscuits – see what I mean boring…) and that’s our Sal waiting for the bowl in the next picture, luckily she’s not a drooler.
and Sally’s verdict.

Wooooof woofle woof wooof howl!
Which translated means…
Please.. Can I have some more… My bowls all empty :( .
You can pick up both these treats in store or online now with the topping costing 66p per 100g pouch and the duck treats are £1.99 for 80g.

*We were sent two packets of each treat free of charge for Sally to try. Her belly and taste buds did the rest – we have since however repurchased and will continue to do so – thank you Wilkos!

  1. High quality food is what my puppies like but I have a feeling I can’t get the treats in Canada. Happy Woof Day!

  2. One of our cats Ed has a liver problem so we have to buy her special food and always check against treats and things – not that that would stop her, she’d eat anything if she could [she loves quavers]. Empty bowls of any pet is always a great sign!

  3. Aww thats shame – Wilkos is a store over here I have to admit I wouldn’t have put such quality food to their name (bad me) – but it has to be one of the things I love about blogging I find things out all the time as well. x
