Showpony – Quirky fun for all.

Showpony Logo
Showpony came to my attention not long after I posted about Howkapow as they happen to be one of the brands they stock (checkout the wheat warmers). It is one of those stores that just shouts SO ME at me, full of quirky, funny, exciting goodies to set anyone’s heart alight.

Showpony was set up in 2006 by Emma Henderson. Emma had recently graduated in Product Design from the world-famous Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. Before that, she worked in the film industry buying and making props after completing her studies in Sociology. The road to Showpony was an interesting one!

Emma loves to design quirky products that you will love and treasure, designs must be fun and interesting – often with an element of humour. She is also very conscious about how the products are produced, working with organic and fair-trade materials wherever possible. Many of Showpony’s products are handmade in the studio, others are made by small fair-trade and organic organisations in India.
Inspired by honesty, poking fun and small details she creates products that are functional and beautiful.*
I’m not sure quite what to show you from this site – If I could show you all I really would. As I’m in an indecisive mood maybe a good place to start will be with this amazing flip cushion. Maybe I could toss it in the air to help me make decisions?
Showpony Flipside Cushion
Available at the moment in yellow/purple or red/blue for £33 each – these could be used for so many things, showing of your mood, telling someone an answer, right down to like I said indecisive moments.
Showpony Shoppers

I love the way these shoppers mix practicality with glamour – I wouldn’t mind being seen walking down the street with any of these on my arm and coming in at £16 each there really is nothing to sniff at – don’t tell but I think Harriet might just be my favourite.
Showpony Teatowel
I would be the messiest person alive but for the above – my mind cannot rest if the place is a mess, so this tea towel really has part of my personality summed up. Coming up at 40cm x 70cm this little beaut is on sale at the moment for £7 down from £11.
I actually wish I lived nearby for the next one – if you fancy learning all the hints and tips on screen printing, Showpony do workshops at their Glasgow studio to help you learn for the best, if you live nearby and fancy heading along there next session seems to be November the 9th and great for beginners. Costing £28 you will come away with some fabric panels and your own tea towel OR tote bag (extras available at cost price). How cool!
To see all Showpony have to offer check out their fantastic website, or keep up to date with all their latest news on facebook and twitter.
What’s your favourite item they have for sale?

  1. I love the bags because I use a cloth bag as my everyday ‘handbag’. How good would one of these look? :)
