Raw Gaia – Review

Raw Gaia Logo

Raw Gaia is one of those sites where everything looks and sounds good enough to eat, with every ingredient clearly stated and 100% natural you really do know for once what you are putting onto your body.
Raw Gaia take the approach that they don’t just create skin care, they create skin food. All these items are natural, organic and can be used by Vegans.
They work with plants and flowers essence and oils in there raw form as that is where they are at their most potent, so handling them at the lowest possible temperatures helps insure that as much natural goodness makes it into their products as can be.
Raw Gaia products are crafted to help heal scars, inflammation, rashes, sun damage, extremely dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema and blotches, as well as smooth out wrinkles, with many of their customers reporting that it really does help the stated.
All of their products are hand crafted in Brighton.
As much as we all would like to say first impressions mean nothing, sometimes they do and I have to admit this company gives off an amazing first impression, their packaging technique is gorgeous and I had to stop myself getting out the products till I could grab this photo to show you just how lovely it is.

Raw Gaia Packaging
Rose buds littered the top of the packaging mixed in with paper stuffing and bubble wrap to make sure the items get to you in tip top condition. It just makes you feel they have gone the extra mile and packaged it with true love and attention.

The two items I received to review are:

Raw Gaia

Coconut Body Butter and Vanilla Lip Balm.
The Coconut body butter caught my eye as I don’t remember having used coconut in this way before. The ingredient is obviously Coconut butter which is organic, fairly traded and has been cold pressed, it is said to help reduce skin inflammation and is soothing and healing to wounds and rashes. It also makes a fabulous conditioner which you can use this body butter as, as well.
Raw Gaia Coconut Body Butter
At room temperature the butter is in a semi solid form, while as at higher temperatures it turns into a translucent oil, the first time I used it I did what all of us intelligent people do and used way to much – a little really does go a long way with this. The oil is easily absorbed and leaves your skin feeling moisturised and soft. To me the scent of coconut is light and fresh and really quite enjoyable.
Raw Gaia Coconut Body Butter
It melts easily and quickly as you rub it in. I found for a while it made my dry areas of skin worse, but I think this maybe as coconut is good at removing dead skin cells and there were probably a lot of these in such areas, so it had to make it worse to make it better, as these areas are now really soft, so all I can say it’s passed the test with me.
The indulgent Coconut Body Butter is available from Raw Gaia’s site and costs £11.49/
The Vanilla Lip Balm comes in two different sizes 5ml or 15ml the 5 which is the one I received is great for popping in your handbag, while the 15 would be fab for around the house.
Raw Gaia Lip Balm
The lip balm contains Shea Butter, Mango Butter and Caster Bean Oil, the balm is said to saturate your lips with moisture, while helping heal and protect them.
My lips are doing nicely after using this nightly, they are soft and smooth when I went away to Paris I forgot to pack it and I came back with a dry patch which was quickly cleared up thankfully as it was also quite painful. The balm itself is soft and pliable and easily soaks into your lips leaving them feeling moisturised.
5ml of the Vanilla Lip Balm comes in at £5.99 and you can grab yours now over on the Raw Gaia website.
I shall definitely be treating myself to some other things from Raw Gaia as for me they have worked wonders.
Have you tried them what do you think of Raw Gaia?

  1. When I was in the Caribbean on holiday a few years back, I’d forogt to pack my body moisturiser & they didn’t see it over there so I bought coconut body butter, I loved it, it really did benefit my skin form the hot sun, even though I do try to stay out of it, I always seem to get my décolletage area sunned, the product I bought looks similar to this one & you literally could see it melting on my damaged skin.
Sadly it didn’t last long & I ran out just before coming home, despite looking for it on other islands we visited no one else sold it, so I’m going to have to go back & visit St Maarten to buy some more!

  2. Funnily enough I requested a trade price list a couple of weeks ago, as I’m a massage and facial therapist, their products look absolutely wonderful! I currently use Neals yard but considering Raw Gaia now x

  3. I’ve never seen a company package things with rose buds before, how lovely!! (I am easily swayed by gorgeous packaging!)

  4. I’ve only seen it once before – I brought something from the German Market in Birmingham on Christmas and they did something similar, feel in love with it back then as well.. Theres just something about it that scream I AM AMAZING lol x

  5. Yes I will definitely invest in a few key products from Raw Gaia and let u know. am a huge fan of coconut oil anyway, I used to eat it by the spoon daily in its virgin state to give me energy as I was always tired, it really helped my skin, my insides, particularly a very painful knee joint, gave me a rather buzzy increase in energy, and one ingredient in coconut oil is the same as mothers milk, lauric acid. For dry hair as a pre shampoo, also really good stuff. This seems like a really genuine organisation and I love the look of everything they stock!

  6. Ohhh I hadn’t heard of that I wonder if it’s something I should look into see if it will help my fatigue and aches and pains.

From talking to them I truly believe they do care about the products and they way they are made and that they truly do benefit the buyer. Definitely something different about them. I’m sure if you wanted to ask them questions before buying they would be more than happy to help as well. x
