This year I have tried some fab products, some have been introduced to me by friends some of them I have stumbled across my accident. I thought I would choose 10 different types of items and blog about my favourite in that category.
1. Lush Lip Service

I officially now swear by Lush’s Lip Service, I found it while browsing around there site for a ‘filler’ to make up the price in there sale after Christmas last year, I normally stay away from Lip Balms as they just make my lips dryer and more painful. But I thought I would give it a whirl, and from the first use I found it made a difference to my totally beyond repair (or so I thought lips). I’ve been using it for over a year now and it still gives the same effect of keeping my lips soft and supple. It is most defiantly the Lip Balm for ME!
2. Dior Addict - High Shine – 624

Love love love this lipstick, I have tried others but always go back to this one, it gives my lips a light shine and is long lasting, while very moisturising. I never normally go for more expensive cosmetics, but I have to admit this is one of my must haves my make up bag just isn’t complete without it. Although the colour does look very dark before applying once on it really isn’t. Even my Mum loves this lip stick! And normally has one rattling around her handbag somewhere.
3. Nina - Nina Ricci

A light fruity, floral fragrance, modern and long lasting, it’s so feminine both in smell as well as the lovely bottle it comes in which really does look beautiful on your make up table. In my mind it is suitable both for day and night wear, so it really is a great all rounder. Now I know all fragrances smell differently on everyone but I really would recommend people to at least give this a try and see what you think, I know I am hooked.
4. Clarins HydraQuench Cream

A light moisturiser with SPF15 – I found this was quickly absorbed into my skin, so if I was in a rush I didn’t need to wait around to long before I could apply my make up afterwards. It left my face much softer, more radiant and doesn’t bring me out in spots, though it did leave me looking rather shiny, that was easily dealt with once I put my foundation on and when used at night, well I’m sure my bed doesn’t mind if I’m look a bit shiny faced.
5. Avon Foot Works – Overnight Renewing Foot Cream

Yup I suffer with horrid foot syndrome (And yes I did just make that up), I get very hard skin on the balls on my feet and my heels like a lot of women get very dry and cracked, I have found that although cheap Avon Foot Works, works brilliantly, slop it on over night and put on some cotton foot socks and after a week or two my feet became lovely and soft. Now I use it more as a maintenance cream and don’t put quite so much on, and it is still keeping my feet silky smooth.
6. Botox – and not for the face!
![]()
I suffer with Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and I was sent to have botox put into my arm pits this year, and I have to say it was a total success, I no longer feel like I keep my arms by my sides, I can dance and wave them around as much as like! I also found out apparently I have a very high pain threshold as I actually asked when they were going to start putting the needles in after they had finished. The nurse didn’t know what to say to that one!
7. L’OCCITANE Shea Butter Hand Cream

Now who doesn’t need a great hand cream? I know I do and this has to be it this one, it doesn’t need the constant reapplying every couple of minutes too keep your hands moisturised. It also doesn’t leave any stickiness behind making you feel like you can’t do anything or you just need to wipe your hands off on something. It also smells wonderful, so just don’t go looking to mad by keep on sniffing your hands when your out and about.
8. L’Oreal Star Secrets Quad Pro Honey Brown 317

I love this for lazy days when I really can’t be bothered to look through my make up bag and find the colours I want (yes my make up bag is that messy) I know these colours suit me and it only takes a couple of seconds to throw them on. They last well, though I wouldn’t go as far as saying if your going out on the night you don’t need to reapply but you can get through a good 6 – 8 hours with it. But the colour does stay where you apply it, so no blotchy eye look.
9. Bead Head by Tigi – Brunette Goddess

So I stole a little of this from a friend while I was staying at there house, and have since been and brought some myself. I do have a very sensitive scalp and most shampoos and conditioners either bring me out in dandruff OR I get hair looking like I’m trying to have dreadlocks. Neither happens with Bed Head, and the smell is amazing. The smell is meant to be of almonds but it reminds me of warm toffee.
10. Batiste Dry Shampoo

I don’t think I have to give much of an explanation for this after my previous blog, Batiste has long been a favourite of mine, for those days when you need a freshen up on your hair before you go out, or if you just don’t have the time to wash your hair in the morning just reach for a can of Batiste, spray, rub and brush and it’s all sorted.
Well I think those are my top 10, I’m sure I’ve missed out some wonderful items I have come across this year, I look forward to sharing all my finds with you this year as the year goes on.

I’m with you on the L’OCCITANE Hand Cream. I swear by it, especially in winter when my hands get red and chapped.
Will have to try out some of the others. x
Aww I hope you like the others if you try then out hun
It’s brilliant isn’t it I was given some hand cream a while ago and working through that really missing my L’OCCITANE might have to get some just to use inbetween as they really aren’t keeping my hands quite as nice
