Lulu – Review

To be honest with you I’d heard about LuLu’s beauty range in the past – and passed it over mainly due to my thinking it was aimed at ‘older’ people. So when I was contacted by them asking if I would like to try some I was amazed to not only find they did a much wider range of products than I had realised but some of them I really did fancy trying. Between us we came up with the 4 items I am about to bring to you now for me to try – and believe me they are fabulous.

Lulu Operation Glam: LockStar – Shampoo and Conditioner.
Don’t you just love these bottles?
“The Shampoo contains a unique blend of oils – including Argan and proteins which help make your skin look smooth and shiny while the conditioner contains a unique conditioning agent that selectively targets fizzy, wiry and rough areas to help improve and even out the texture of your hair.”
I actually wish I had taken some before and after pictures of my hair to show you, as I can honestly notice the gloss and shine to my hair has turned up a notch. I’ve looked into the mirror a few times and thought hey I like my hair and this is just after washing and air drying, which is very out of character for me I normally despise my flyaway hair until it’s been straightened to within an inch of its life – its calmed right down, the waves have more definition and to the touch it really is smooth. I wouldn’t say it’s one of those shampoo and conditioners that has a powerful fragrance but it does leave your hair smelling fresh.

“Using ingredients such as avocado, rosemary, lavender and white truffle oils this body lotion helps moisturise, and add a healthy, youthful-looking sheen, while skin appears more supple, plumped and toned.”
I guess everyone has a way to tell if a moisturiser it working for them, mine is my elbows – if something doesn’t suit my skin they are the first place to tell me. After close scrutiny of my elbows they are telling me they are oh so soft and thank you very much we do like this cream. If it’s firmed and plumped I’m not so sure, but I am most definitely finding it so smooth and soften, it also smells divine, mind you put anything with such ingredients in front of me and I shall tell you the same thing.
RRP: £12.75
Lulu Time – Eau DeToilette
Pretty pink bottle <3.
“Made using the scents of patchouli, a light musk, bergamot, an exotic spicy fragrance, pink pepper, fresh lemon and warm jasmine. These are all ‘smell’s from times in Lulu’s life making this to her – Time in a bottle.”
I have received so many complements while wearing this I have lost count from friends to my Mum so seems like it’s loved by all ages, it’s quite soft and subtle, a floral top with peppery undertones. Great for these sunny summer days we seem to be having of late.
RRP: £36 for 50ml
I have been totally bowled over by how much I have liked all four of these products, I keep saying it over and over but I need to stop disregarding products just because I don’t think they apply to my age range. (Not as though I’m getting any younger either.) I adore all the scents used, and they really do work for me. At the end of my two weeks of use I’m left with soft hair, smooth skin and smelling rather good if I do say so myself. What more could a girl ask for.
To get your hands on any of the above pop on over to Lulu’s website or to QVC.
Have you tried any of Lulu’s products, what do you think of them.

  1. Was interested in your hair review, as I’ve a good healthy head of hair, I have loads of the stuff, but due to the strong medication I take it gets very frizzy & I’ve tried all the major brand that advertize “glossy locks” & nope never worked for me!
But with yours being  a personal & unbiased view I trust it more, so may well have to find out what channel QVC is on & see if they are doing a “Today Only”, if they still do them, years since I’ve watched it!
Failing that I’m sure someone on that well known auction site will sell it!
Thank you so much for this I’m attempting to get my hair in sonme type of control before my eldest sons wedding in August, not being able to dry it doesn’t help I know but hell I’m not paying to have it dried every other day!
    LOL.
Like the others the zebra packaging is certainly eye catching! Love it.

  2. I’ll stop using it for a bit a do a before / after for you if you want – I think it’s very moisturising which probably does the trick for me at least. I’m awful I normally either have to use straighteners on it just tie it back even then the top pops off all over the place lol. x
