How do you Breakfast?

New research is showing that ‘deskfasting’ is on the rise with 40% of us eating breakfast at work due to being short on time but shockingly this could be costing our pockets over £700 a year, that’s enough for:

5 nights in Vegas in a 5 star hotel or
Nearly 2 years’ worth of electric for a 3 – 4 bedroom house or
A 50″ widescreen HD ready TV with Freeview or
2.3 Ipads.
Just what could you be missing out on?

But never fear Warburtons are here to help – one of the nation’s favourite bakers has a mouth watering array of choice when it comes to grabbing breakfast at home, or to pop into your bag.
warburtons bread
Grabbing a piece of toast, a crumpet or muffin only takes a few minutes, pop them in the toaster while getting dressed perhaps, then butter and spread once you are done wash it down with a nice cup of tea or coffee and think of what you are saving.
I have to admit I do like a bit of jam on my toast, and marmite on my crumpets, and muffins well I like those as a snack with a bit of marmite and cheese.
Brioche's warburtons breakfast foods
As you can see from this photo the Brioche’s are looking a little on the well almost all gone side – they do actually come in packets of 6 (Raisin Swirls) and 8 (All Butter Rolls). Fantastically Warburtons Brioche’s come individuality wrapped meaning they are just right for popping into your bag if you really don’t have the time to get some breakfast at home.
These went down amazingly with us all. Ash set too on the all butter ones which he tried both warm and cold, with a bit of extra butter and just as they come, and he’s already been back and buying some more of them from the shop to munch on, along with the unseen chocolate chip variety which also get an A*.
My favourite though had to be FANTASTIC Raisin Swirls we had 4 of us and a mad dog try these and we all agree they are divine (or when it came to Henry droolishious). The creme patissiere included in the swirls just melts in your mouth and blends in gorgeously with the bread and raisins, making them a gorgeous moreish snack for any time of day.
Warburtons can be brought from stores nationwide so start saving money for a BIG treat today by switching from a deskfast back to a breakfast.
*Warburtons sent free of charge for reviewing purposes (apart from the mentioned Chocolate Chip Brioche’s which we brought ourselves).

  1. Thanks for stopping by my page Lady!
This is a very interesting post. Me for example, i don’t work right now, but when i used to, i had to get up at 6, and at that time, i am just not hungry and can’t eat. So i always had my breakfast break at work around 9, that’s when i got hungry. I guess that’s how it is with most people who start working early, i don’t think it’s an time issue.
I love Brioche’s btw, couldn’t find them nowhere in the States yet though :(

  2. wow that is a lot of money wasted! I usually have a can of red bull for breakfast ( really bad!) as I don’t get hungry until lunch time! Found your blog through the bbu blog hop

  3. Aww Brioche reminds me of of holidays in France we used to take! Try them with boursin & ham! Delicious! During the week I always have cornflakes & a cup of tea …or three, but on a Sunday I treat myself to a proper coffee & a croissant, just hot with a splog of jam on the side. That’s my treat to me & I always look forward to it. I’m not working at the moment so I have plenty time for breakfast, but it is shocking how much can be spent on buying ready made food.

One of my sons is a long distance lorry driver & most days if he’s not been home he grabs a McDonalds breakfast! EWWW but its so convenient for him & they are usually built somewhere he can park his lorry & at least he gets proper food when he’s home.

  4. Ohh I shall have to give that a try. Do like a bit of boursin and ham as well.

I have to admit I am awful at some days I do go without breakfast if I’m having a can’t get out of bed till late day, but when I have it I do always have it at home. Ash on the other hand he goes to McDs sometimes. I guess it’s easy and quick. But so scary when it’s added up that £3 here and there seems like nothing when you hand it over on separate occasions.

At least he gets looked after at home! Men and their McD’s.

  5. Not a problem at all :) .
I can understand that, I don’t think I would want to eat if I was working early, it’s a hard one, so much money you could save but I guess for everyone it’s different sometimes that money is worth being spent in that area.
Oh no!! Hope you get them over there soon they are gorgeous aren’t they.

  6. I love Warburtons bread and buy their wholemeal all the time! I must admit I love wholemeal toast with honey or just butter! I also buy a lot of their crumpets for the kids! Their bread always stays fresh for longer so don’t mind paying that little bit more! I would never go without brekki – I don’t function until I’ve had my latte and toast!
