This is one of those review items that gets my Dad pouncing on them, nuts are his go to snack as it is so snacks covered in something are well his idea of heaven.
The lovely people at Guinness sent over two packs for us to try one was quickly nabbed by my
Dad and the other by Ash, luckily I managed to grab a few and some photos before I was told whoops they have all been eaten – they lasted in each house less than 24 hours.
These double roasted nuts combine together the classic taste of steak and ale, and coming out with a deliciously moreish snack.
Packets come in at 90g and are just the right size to share or as in my family eat all by yourself (tut tut).
Ash is hard to get opinions out of for one reason and another – but I did manage to get out of him really liked these nuts, he found that the meat flavour over took the others if he didn’t know it was steak he wouldn’t have been to put his finger quite on the meat, behind it nestled lightly was the ale flavour of the Guinness. They are to him a crunchy delicacy that he would most definitely send me to buy him again.
These are in essence a savoury nut that hold there crunch even after the flavour having been added, they are extremely moreish so be ready to want more that just a few.
Available now from Sainbury’s and in Waitrose from July 9th these lovely nuts come in at just £1.49.
Can’t even take a picture without Ash trying to get his hands on a few!
Have you tried Guinness Gourmet Peanuts & Cashews yet, what do you think?
*PR Sample.
Mmm, these sound yummy! I love flavoured nuts but steak and ale ones sound better than any I’ve tried!
I LOVE roasted nuts and these are my favourite – cashews and peanuts. Thanks for the review.
Hope you enjoy them if you give them a try
xx
Let me know what you think if you get your hands on some xx
Wouldn’t like them myself, but the hubby would love them.
I would absolutely love these. May have to fight over them with the Other Half though!
I found them disappointing, they taste like neither guiness nor steak.
Oh no that’s a shame
I guess everyone finds things different though – sorry you had a disappointing experience with them xx
I think I am addicted to them and the one pack I bought has only lasted a weekend and thats with just me eating them!!! Found myself craving them at 3am when I couldn’t sleep last night and then wanting more when I woke this morning and throughout the day. They are dangerously moorish, highly addictive and full of flavour. I will buy some more but with the intention of sharing with my family….whether they make it to the folks is another matter entirely.
