Guest Post: Liloo Presents Golden Affair

I actually can’t believe it’s Wednesday again already! But I’m glad it is because that means it’s time for another fabulous guest post – this week I bring you the lovely Liloo of Le Petit Jardin de Liloo - a playground of make up and beauty – she brings me out in eye make up lust! The girl is fabulous!
Make sure you pop on over and give her a follow once you have finished reading.
Show me a beautiful green polish for example, and exactly the same  shade of green polish with a river of gold shimmer running in the  middle of it, and my heart will instantly fall for the latter. I can’t  resist a gold shimmer, and for me, any nail polish with an added gold  shimmer is instantly prettier. What if they made a gold polish which  would add a touch of gold to any nail  polish you and I already own at  home? They do, I have found it and I am bursting to share it  with  you. It’s one of the newest-ish nail polishes from Revlon and it’s  called ‘Gold Coast’ not to confuse with Gold Coin, another release  from the brand.
Revlon Gold Coast
Despite the good  quality of Revlon polishes (I find that they are really long lasting and so much longer lasting than many other brands)  I don’t usually go for Revlon polishes. They are a good company but  their bottles and especially the classic gold ring around the neck of  the  bottles reminds me of tacky furniture like they used to do in the  80s.
I am so glad I’ve gone beyond my shallow perceptions of Revlon  polishes and got home with my very own piece of Gold Coast. Do not treat Gold Coast as a normal nail polish or you will die of boredom trying to achieve opacity. This is more of a top coat really, and a rather fabulous one!
Below just one coat of Gold Coast over my favourite nude polish from Gosh (Nude Champagne). Look  at me in the  eyes and tell me it doesn’t make my nude polish  instantly prettier. The ring finger shows nude champagne on its own,  with no gold coast on it.

Please ignore my rushed application of my 17 ‘Miami Pop Collection’  Palm Beach polish and see how this already perky pink is given a new  lease of life with Gold Coast on top.

On this for artistic purposes (ahem) blurry picture, it almost looks  like the sun is setting on my middle finger. I can’t go over how  pretty it is.

I am not sure if Gold Coast really goes with on top of a blue polish,  but I’ll show you  anyway to give you an idea. Now imagine Revlon Gold  Coast over a boring black polish,  a gorgeous bright red or any other  polishes for that matter, let your imagination go wild and think of  the golden possibilities on your fingertips ;)

Summer or Winter, rain or sunshine, Gold Coast is my ultimate feel  good nail polish or nail polish top coat, should I say. Whenever I  wear it, it feels like the warm Australian Gold Coast is shining on my  nails and it’s making me smile.  Who needs the perfect shade of gold to suit your skintone, when you can add a touch of gold to any of your favourite polishes?

  1. Liloo this is gorgeous, I’m so glad it’s pay day!! The blue bail looks lovely to me, reminds me of the way the sun makes the sea glisten, especially a paradise ocean like in Zanzibar… Or Mauritius ;)
I’m thinking this will look lovely over a new khaki polish I’ve bought, and I can probably get away with wearing it at work as just a sheer shimmer :D
