Celia Lindsell – French Basket.

Celia Lindsell Logo
This is one product that arrived on my doorstep and I feel totally head over heels for. Not that I hadn’t when I had seen it online but in front of me it was just something else. Since then it has come with me to the shops, for days out, popped into the car just in case, but it could be used as so much more from a decorative piece in the corner of your room, perhaps holding silk flowers, your favourite magazine so it’s in close reach, or a holdall for those days down to the beach or swimming pool which I’m sure we will all do over the coming summer. Mine shall definitely be coming away on holiday as my pool bag.
So what am I talking about I hear you cry?

Celia Lindsell French Basket
This amazingly gorgeous red hearted French basket of course.
Celia Lindsell has spent her life working with luxury gifts starting as a window designer for Tiffany & Co in London, and spending time training in New York under Gene Moore and John Loring. In 1988 she went on to start her own company Lindsell and Hadlee Designs specialising in window display and visual merchandising, which took her all over Europe.  Moving to the South of France Celia took a change of career and started sculpting in stone - exhibiting her work in both France and the UK. In 2003 after being head hunted she became the creative director of Asprey & Garrard, before starting her own lifestyle brand in 2005.
Stemming from her love of French Lavender which she grows in her garden in Provence, feeling the Lavender market needed an update to breath a breath of new life into it, drawing from her years of travel her designs are sharp and contemporary, and have grown to include all many of lifestyle accessories.
Celia Lindsell French Baskets
These gorgeous baskets come in two sizes:
Standard: 55cm wide x 38cm deep
Extra Large: 90cm wide x 65cm deep
As I said before they are great from anything from everyday use to decoration, strong and sturdy they have handles are made of leather and attached with studs.
These baskets are apparently well used by the French with no household being without one, and they are used for everything from going to the market, post office, weekends out to picnics showing there versatility.
How would you fancy having one of these gorgeous baskets all of your own?
I have one Standard Red Heart basket to give away to a lucky reader.

  2. Lovely review and giveaway, thank you x I love some many items on that site!!!! One of my many favourites has to be the Toile de Jouey lavender filled door stops! The design is lovely and reminds me of the tea set I received from my Grandma before she passed away!  It only ever comes out on special family occasions, but the door stop would be on display permanently!

  3. The French baskets look so stylish and versatile, but apart from those I really love the sound of lavender honey. Yum!

  19. It’s got to be the Mini Fur Hotwater Bottle.  Although it’s supposed to be Spring, the temperature says otherwise so this would come in very handgy

  20. mini lavender pillows  sound a great idea for the grandchildren but for me it has to be the Red Heart French Basket.  Environmentally friendly to take out shopping so no more carrier bags – they have started charging 5p per bag in Wales now so this bag would be ideal to start saving money as well – all the 5p’s soon add up!

  21. I wish you hadn’t directed me to this site – I spent a lot of time drooling over its contents – they’re stunning!  I really like the baskets best, but if I had to pick one other product, it would be the large lavender bags, which would scent my whole wardrobe.

  22. My favourite has got to be the Soft Fur & Roses Pillow  http://www.celialindsell.com/product.php?plid=13#large_img  What luxury!

  23. I probably shouldn’t say this here but my favourite item is the ‘heartarse’ sculpture. It makes me smile, and I’d love to have it in my home if only so that I could see the look on people’s face when I told them what it was called :-)

  24. My favourite item on Celia Lindsell’s site would be the Possum fur trimmed wool shawl. Living in England it is very practical for the cold weather. It’s very stylish. I have read the Eco Possum furs and it’s origin section on her website.

  25. My favourite is the childrens flower fairies lavender pillows.  The  heart bag is totally gorgeous ideal for the little daily shops.

  26. The red and white day to day bag is wonderful, looks summery and in the colours of my favourite football team

  27. My favourite is the Day to Day bag. I could fit all of the rubbish in it that I insist on carting around with me.

  28. this bag is my favourite. its absolutely beautiful. im on a diet at the mo – trying not to buy more clothes that i cant yet fit into!! this would brighten up my summer whilst im a work in progress!

  29. I adore the poppy red scarf shawl, would be great to drape over my shoulders when outside on a summer’s evening and it starts getting nippy.
