Batiste – Cherry

Batiste Logo
Step into spring with this new deliciously fruity fragranced dry shampoo from Batiste. The can just hints at vintage glamour with the cherry design.
Now I have to admit I cannot tell you if it smells of cherries or not as I really don’t know what a cherry smells like I know I enjoy eating them but that really doesn’t bring up a scent. So fruity is the way I am going with  this but either way it smells divine. I popped some on the other morning as I was late up and in a rush to get to a hospital appointment and even coming on for 12 hours later I was still getting a subtle waft every now and again.
I think most of you all know my obsession with batiste by now I just can’t be without it, my hair gets greasy so quickly, and without being able to bathe at home batiste really is a life saver for while I make that trip to the parents to steal their shower.
Batiste Cherry
This little beauty has an RRP of £2.99 for 200ml and like all batiste is available from Boot, Superdrug, Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Wilkos, Waitrose, Savers and Lloyds.

I keep a tin of another brand of dry shampoo in my ‘hair’ drawer. I must admit, I’m not overly keen on the fragrances of the Batistes I have tried in the past but Cherry certainly sounds appealing!

Batiste is one of those brands that seems to go on for ever!  I collect vintage magazines and it seems to have been available for far longer than I’d imagined.  So I reckon it’s earned its vintage tin!

I must admit I have never used Batiste even though I have a sample sized can sitting in my drawer.  I don’t know why I haven’t used it as I get lots of days when I wake up, look in the mirror and think – ahhhh hair needs washed but can I be bothered? No so hair in bun!  I think I am really going to have to give it a try though!

I too am on meds for depression and I also toss and turn a lot in the night due to insomnia – so I am tending to blame my mood and my poor physical and mental health on my the condition of my hair – although it looks fine when it is newly washed, it seems to loose it’s body and shine by the very next day :(

I have been reading much of your blog and I just want you to know that I completely understand where you are coming from.  I too have been through the mill and back and have suffered from depression for as long as I can remember.  I have also attempted suicide several times and even now, I am not allowed more than a week’s supply of medication in one go.  I often feel it is like being in a never ending black tunnel and I will ever see the light – but maybe I was never in the light in the first place? I do wonder.  Anyway, just wanted you to know that I enjoy reading your blog – although it is upsetting to read what you have been through, it is also a comfort knowing I am not alone and there are others who are plodding on out there too x

Give it a go tomorrow when you get up! If you don’t feel like doing it think I’m telling you too and see if that helps :P. It somehow makes me feel just a little bit better on my bad days to know my hair might not look quite so bad.

If you want to give it some volume try Batiste XXL it’s not so great on the cleaning side but it’s amazing with volume.

If you ever need a chat – you know my blog email so feel free to send something through, I’m not all that great on advice (I’m still suffering after all) but I can listen and try :) x
