One thing I hate is trying to find shoes for Ash he’s liable to go for the first pair or the cheapest pair and not the most comfortable which means sometimes we may need to buy some more sooner than planned. So when we realised he might need another pair for all his work interviews there was just slightly a hint of dread in the air. He after all has ‘smart – smart’
shoes but a lot of his interviews or work trials are calling for ‘smart – causal’ and his high shine no grip shoes just weren’t cutting. But thankfully we found the answer lay with a pair of Skechers.
Costing just £47.70 at the moment these shoes really mix together comfort, urban style and a resistant sole. As soon as they had arrived Ash had to dash out to a work trial and he popped them straight on – an hour and a half later and all that time on his feet, he came back to tell me how comfortable they were.
Upper :LeatherLining :SyntheticInsole :SyntheticSole :RubberI think they still fit into the smart shoes category a little but I guess everyone has their own take on what is considered smart and what isn’t all I can say is according to Ash they are definitely comfy, so they get a thumbs up from this house and best of all I didn’t have to tear my hair out trying to get him a pair. Are all men this difficult to buy shoes for?
* Sponsored Post – Prices correct at time of writing, shoes brought because Ash needed them and all stories in post are true.
Hey – they look great – better than a shiny option!! It’s a nightmare trying to buy for my OH. Thanks for the info, I’ll have a look at them for him too :-). What’s your OH going for? Gooooood luck!
great smart casual shoes
It was a shop job sadly he didn’t get it though
probably more people with more experience etc.. Bit of a change from what he was doing though lol. x
They look really nice!
My husband’s so hard to buy shoes for too – the last time his trainers wore out, he went and bought the EXACT same pair again because he couldn’t be bothered to look for anything different!
They are nice & look comfy, but don’t you find shoes are so expensive these days – OMG Sound like my Mother! – but when a pair of shoes cost £50 & they are “reasonably” priced then something is wrong, I’m all for everyone in the chain getting a fair deal from the cow to the shop.
When you look in magazines & they are showing trainers for normal non athletic proffesional people at £200 a pair & thats a bargain price! Something is dreadfully wrong with world in my eyes, thats two weeks worth of money for us at the moment.
Saying that my OH needs a new pair & I’ve no doubt we will have to find a similar amount of money.
Best of luck in the job hunt! Sorry for the rant. xx
I agree I always cringe at the price of shoes, or trainers, doesn’t help I have the worlds worst feet and all the shoes I find comfortable are expensive. (Trust me) Hope you manage to find some that are ‘reasonably priced’ x
I do that with my trainers LOL, well I buy the same type just choose a different colour or pattern. x
