I should be moving soon so when I was contacted by Palmers Department Store to see if I would like to review something, I just jumped at something from the Kirstie Allsopp bedding range and when I noticed this little beauty with a dog on it I knew it had to be this one!
Palmers Department Store is one of the UK’s oldest and this year is celebrating its 175th year of trading. Opened in 1837 by Garwood Burton Palmer as a linen mercer’s and silk drapers in Great Yarmouth, today it is still in the capable hands of the same family with Garwood’s Great-Great-Great Nephew Bruce Sturrock being Chairman.
This gorgeous Mallory cushion is of course from the Kirstie Allsopp range, it features Kirstie’s very own terrier – Foxy.
Foxy has been appliquéd in a choice of two fabrics the above Wedgewood is a swatch from the Josephine Duvet Cover while Peony is swatched from Meredith. Made from 100% Cotton Twill, and with dimensions of W 45cm x H 45cm and completely machine washable this little one makes the perfect scatter cushion.
I’ve totally fallen for this little woofer; I’m thinking I might have to use him as my bedroom scheme in the new place. Mind you dogs and blue you have me sold any day .
The cushion it’s self is well made, with the back featuring an opening to make it easy to take out the inner pad to give it a good wash should the unthinkable happen and Foxy gets a bit grubby.
It is edged with a blue length featuring a white four petal design, which just set’s off nicely the whole cushion, while a stitched lead twists and turns from his neck to the corner, a slightly lighter thread show off Foxy’s outline for all too see.
To get your hands on Foxy hop on over to Palmers where you can pick him up at the moment for just £25.95.
What do you think of my Foxy friend? Would you like to have him on your bed?
*Foxy was sent to me free of charge for me to review, all opinions though are honest and my own.
